Guidelines for presentations in the RAPID FIRE SESSION

The session takes place on Friday, June 24 from 11:20 to 12:00 hrs.

Please provide a maximum of TWO powerpoint slides (ppt/pptx., aspect ratio 16:9 landscape) for the Rapid Fire Session. Slides will be combined to a single presentation before the session. Therefore, filename must begin with the abstract number (two digits – see above) followed by the family name of the first author (e.g., „04 Miller …“) and identify each slide with “Abstract no ##“ in the right upper corner.

Please upload your slides by Monday, June 13 at the latest via this link:

Please bear in mind that timing is crucial in this type of session. The chairpersons will therefore be extremely strict on your presentation. This short presentation should serve as an “pitch” for the discussions at the poster itself and not a presentation of all aspects of your work.

Guidelines for POSTER presentations

If you are not able to present your poster, you are kindly requested to contact the organising office as soon as possible and indicate if:

  • you want to change the presenter OR
  • withdraw the abstract from presentation.

In case of a change of presenter, please nominate a co-author who is actually attending the meeting.

You are required to present a hard copy poster:

  • Only posters in portrait format can be mounted.
  • The usable surface on the poster board will be 95 cm width x 190 cm height.
  • Only adhesive tape can be used to mount posters. Material will be available onsite.

Please note that it is allowed for participants to take pictures in the conference venue (including the exhibition hall, the poster area and lecture hall). If you do not want any scientific content of your poster to be photographed, please indicate this on your poster in a clearly visible way.

Important Guidelines

  • Authors are requested to disclose possible conflicts of interest on the poster.
  • When presenting data and health information (including photos) all presenters must have informed consent compliant with human subjects and applicable regulations.
  • Posters should stimulate discussion, not give a long presentation. Therefore, keep text to a minimum, emphasize graphics and make sure every item is necessary.
  • Include the title of your presentation. We will not post the abstract titles on display boards.
  • The lettering of the poster heading should be at least 2.5 cm high. Detailed information should be provided in a smaller type, but remember that your text must be easily readable from distances of at least 1 meter.

Schedule for display, mounting and removal

  • Posters will be on display from Thursday, June 23 (13:00 hrs) to Saturday, June 25 (13:00 hrs).
  • Poster mounting will be possible from Thursday, June 23 from 11:30 hrs onwards.
  • Removal will be possible on  Saturday, June 25 until 15:00 hrs (strict!).
  • Please note that posters not removed until the indicated time will be taken down by the conference staff and will not be stored or sent to the authors after the meeting.

Poster Viewing
A dedicated Poster Viewing session is scheduled for Friday, June 24 from 12:00 to 14:00 hrs. Your presence will be required at the poster to engage with participants and answer any questions they might have.
